shea butter ((sheybuht-er)): noun A slightly greenish or ivory-colored natural fat extracted from fruit of the shea tree by crushing and boiling. Shea butter is widely used in cosmetics as a moisturizer and an emollient.It is also a known anti-inflammatory agent. Shea butter can be effective at treating the following conditions: fading scars, eczema, burns, rashes, acne, severely dry skin, blemishes, dark spots, skin discolorations, chapped lips, stretchmarks, wrinkles and in lessening the irritation of psoriasis. Shea butter provides natural UV sun protection, although the level of protection is extremely variable, ranging from none at all to approximately SPF 6. Sun-sensitive persons should not rely on shea butter for protection. Shea butter absorbs rapidly into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. |

I have assorted allergies and thought that I would have to use an expensive medicate soap for life but found Soap Alchemy soap. I use both neem tree soap and the castile soap. I've really cut down on the use of lotions.

Unscented Soap
Unscented soap can be one of the healthiest soaps for your skin. Many people who have various skin related issues find that an unscented bar reduces or eliminates issues they may be having with soap. Our Soap Alchemist originally started making soap because of his issues with commercially made soap. Please note, our unscented bars are not scent free. We list all of our ingredients, both on the bar and here on the website. We do not used bleached or deoderized ingredients and this results in bars of soap whose color varies and will have an underlying scent from the natural ingredients. We do not use any masking fragrances to create an unscented scent.

Our goat milk is made with Cocoa Butter, Babassu, Palm kernel, Coconut, Soybean oils and Goat milk of course. We offer it unscented as well as scented. Also check out our green tea soap as it uses the same great base. Goatmilk contains sugars. These tend to carmalize somewhat during the soap making process. This gives the bar an off white, sometimes golden light brown color. There is also a potential for what some people describe as a honey or cookie like scent. The bar is unscented and then they are smelling is the carmalized sugars from the goatmilk! Soap Alchemy does not mask the natural scent of the ingredients. |
