goat milk

(gohtmilk): noun

Milk from the doe or female goat, In soap making, it is used for super-fatting soap which creates a more emollient bar and creamy lather. Goat milk contains 13% more calcium, 25% more vitamin B-6, 47% more vitamin A, 34% more potassium, 350% more niacin, and 27% more selenium than cow milk. Goat milk is also higher in chloride, copper, and manganese.

The milk is naturally homogenized since it lacks the protein agglutinin. The curd is much smaller. The milk also has a more similar makeup (percentage of fats, etc.) to human milk than cows milk.

superfatting

(soo-per-fat-ing): adj.

Leaving some of the oils and fats in the finished soap producing an emollient soap bar.

Customer Testimonials:

Hello, I have tried your soap and I love it. My favorite so far is the Avocado Spearmint. I was really having a bad day and when I went to the shower with a fresh bar, it was like aromatherapy. I totally relaxed and allowed the alchemist's creation to sooth me. I especially enjoy the texture of the soap; great lather, soft feel (it doesn't break apart like commercial soap), long lasting (thanks for the wooden soap cradle.) I have also cracked open a bar of the citrus soap; very nice overall, but the Avocado Spearmint is still my favorite at the moment. Thanks, know that your endeavors are appreciated.

The first time I used this soap I was very skeptical. My thought was soap is soap who cares?! However after I used it, and then used commercial liquid soap my attitude changed. I could immediately feel the difference in my skin. My skin was all dry after using the commercial brand. I have been using the Neem and Tea tree bar on my hair and it has significantly cut down on my dandruff and my scalp is no longer dry and itchy!! I used to always have incredibly dry skin on my legs in the winter, but this winter has been different!!! I use to hate shaving, my skin would always burn afterwards and I would always end up cutting myself. That has also changed since I have been using Soap Alchemys shaving soap. It is by far the most comfortable shave I have ever had!!! I will never use shaving cream again. I am a huge fan of Soap Alchemy's products!!

Goat Milk Soap - Unscented

Goat Milk, what can we say about it that isn't already well known. Rich, very rich soft lather. Our goat milk is made with Cocoa Butter, Babassu, Palm kernel, Coconut, Soybean oils and Goat milk of course. We offer it unscented as well as scented. Also check out our green tea soap as it uses the same great base. Goatmilk contains sugars. These tend to carmalize somewhat during the soap making process. This gives the bar an off white, sometimes golden light brown color. There is also a potential for what some people describe as a honey or cookie like scent. The bar is unscented and then they are smelling is the carmalized sugars from the goatmilk! Soap Alchemy does not mask the natural scent of the ingredients.
