Soap Alchemy makes all of their products from scratch. We use food grade ingredients, essential oils and organic extracts for scent. No synthetic scents, colorants or dyes. Just natural ingredients. We list our ingredients on everything, including our candles. We think even if your going to inhale the scent, you might just like to know what your inhaling. Shea Butter Black Soap (Detoxifying Activated Charcoal) - Specialty Soap       Details Shea Butter Activated Charcoal Soap, a specialty best and top selling bar with USP Vegan Food Grade Activated Charcoal, a widely know filter agent from vegetable source. Activated Charcoal is used in water filters, air filters and in many other applications. Combined with our Shea Butter moisturizing soap and you have a detox bar. Best results when lathered on skin and left on for 1 to 3 minutes, giving the USP Vegan Actived Charcoal time to detox your pores. Rich Fair Trade Organic Shea Butter and cocoa butter as the main ingredients along with organic extra virgin olive oil, palm kernel, coconut and Organic Jojoba oils makes for very nice rich lather. No fragrances or essential oils have been added as most people request this way. Shea butter is known for its moisturizing qualities and so our bar uses 35% Shea butter, making it the primary ingredient. Pink Grapefruit - Sugar Scrub       Details Our Pink Grapefruit Sugar Scrub has a wonderful authentic Pink Grapefruit aroma from the natural essential oils used. Very fresh, uplifting. Many Soap Alchemy Soaps Certified Vegan!

We are happy to announce that Most of Soap Alchemy's Soaps are now Certified Vegan! Our Pure Castile Line, Basic Castile Line and Specialty Soap Lines have been certified vegan by Vegan Action. The only soaps that are not are all of our Goat Milk Soaps, due to the fact that they obviously contain Goat Milk.

To be certified vegan is defined as "(products) containing no animal ingredients or animal
by-products (to include honey and sugar refined with bone char), using no animal ingredient
or by-product in the manufacturing process, and not being tested on animals by any company
or independent contractor."

Look for the Certified Vegan Logo on all of our packaging as well as by each
of the products in our online store which have been certified.

From Our Hands to Yours!

Our Hand Crafted Soaps are made from only the finest Natural Ingredients in small batches in our soap kitchens at our soap factory just north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We take a great deal of pride and care in making soap. Our Soap Alchemist has tested each of his formulas to ensure that only the best soaps are sent to your home and would not put anything in the soap he would not use on his on body.

Each batch is carefully hand made from start to finish and then hand cut and carefully hand packaged and sealed before being sent to your door. Where possible, we use organic oils. The color of the various bars comes from the natural oils in the bars. The color can be different, varying by batch. This is because of the harvest the oils came from. We use oils that have a healthy value as the base oils in the soap.

As with all soaps, it is not meant for your eyes but is great on every other part of your body. Our soaps are for your whole body. Some people use our soaps for washing their hair as well. Our bars contain a range of oils. Take Jojoba oil, it is a wonderful oil for soap, lending moisturizing and emollient properties. Jojoba is also one of the more expensive oils. Our Soap Alchemist doesn't skimp though. The soap is created with you in mind, as a friend, giving you a soap that is truly a good soap, not a commercial process.

Our soaps are sold in two sizes. We have a Hand and Face bar as well as an All Over Body bar. (Since our soap is hand made and cut, there can be a minor difference in the final weight and color of the hand cut bars.) All bars are wrapped as shown.
