superfatting (soo-per-fat-ing): adj.
Leaving some of the oils and fats in the finished soap producing an emollient soap bar. chamomile (kam-uh-meel): noun
A composite plant, Chamaemelium nobile (or Anthemis nobilis), native to the Old World, having strongly scented foliage and white ray flowers with yellow centers used medicinally and as a tea.The external uses of chamomile include blending its essential oil with lavender or rose for scenting perfumes, candles, creams, or other aromatherapy products intended to calm or relax the user.
Other external uses of chamomile include topical preparations for the treatment of bruises, scrapes, skin irritations, and joint pain. The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of chamomile make it a widely used external treatment for acne, arthritis, burns, ulcerated areas of skin, and even diaper rash. The German E Commission, regarded as an authority on herbal treatments, has recommended chamomile to "combat inflammation, stimulate the regeneration of cell tissue, and promote the healing of refractory wounds and skin ulcers." green tea (green tee): noun
Tea made from leaves that are not fermented before being dried. goat milk (gohtmilk): noun
Milk from the doe or female goat, In soap making, it is used for super-fatting soap which creates a more emollient bar and creamy lather. Goat milk contains 13% more calcium, 25% more vitamin B-6, 47% more vitamin A, 34% more potassium, 350% more niacin, and 27% more selenium than cow milk. Goat milk is also higher in chloride, copper, and manganese. The milk is naturally homogenized since it lacks the protein agglutinin. The curd is much smaller. The milk also has a more similar makeup (percentage of fats, etc.) to human milk than cows milk. |

Testimonials: |
The first time I used this soap I was very skeptical. My thought was soap
is soap who cares?! However after I used it, and then used commercial
liquid soap my attitude changed. I could immediately feel the difference in
my skin. My skin was all dry after using the commercial brand. I have been
using the Neem and Tea tree bar on my hair and it has significantly cut
down on my dandruff and my scalp is no longer dry and itchy!! I used to
always have incredibly dry skin on my legs in the winter, but this winter
has been different!!! I use to hate shaving, my skin would always burn
afterwards and I would always end up cutting myself. That has also changed
since I have been using Soap Alchemys shaving soap. It is by far the most
comfortable shave I have ever had!!! I will never use shaving cream again.
I am a huge fan of Soap Alchemy's products!! Brian H. Avon OH 2010-03-10
I'm writing to let you know how much I LOVE the sample of Soap Alchemy's Unscented Goat Milk soap that was being given out at my local yoga studio. Please send the 'for sale' stuff very soon.
I haven't used a bar soap in many years as I find them to be drying to my skin. NOT with Soap Alchemy!
What did I love?
1) The incredible, luxurious, almost sinfully copious amounts of lather! That sample is a little bar! where DO all those bubbles come from?! I've used a lot of "luxury" brand cleansers - they don't hold a candle to Soap Alchemy!
2) The soft, smooth, moisturized feel of my post shower skin. I used it to shave my legs - bliss! Even my FEET feel pampered!
3) Unscented means unscented! I didn't walk out the door (and into yoga class) smelling like anything more than soap and water.
Thanks for a great product! Warmly Melissa M. Ft Lauderdale FL 2008-05-25
